Alice is Missing is an immersive, silent role-playing game about the mysterious disappearance of Alice Briarwood, a high school junior in the sleepy Northern California town of Silent Falls.
Designed by Spenser Starke (creator of Icarus), the game is played in complete silence: players use their mobile phones to send text messages to one another as they unearth clues about what happened to Alice. This unique design makes it equally fantastic for in-person gatherings or remote play online!
Played over a single session of 2 to 3 hours, the game does not require a formal Game Master, though one player facilitates the rules. During the first 45 minutes, players create their characters, forge their relationships with Alice, and establish ties with each other. The next 90 minutes follow the characters' live text message conversations set to a timed soundtrack as they uncover Alice’s ultimate fate.
Note: Contains mature and emotional themes; recommended for players aged 16+.
