In May 1618, the Defenestration of Prague sparked thirty bloody years of European conflict. Cuius Regio: The Thirty Years War is an operational-level two-player wargame focusing on the maneuvers, sieges, and decisive battles that reshaped Europe from 1618 to 1648.
The game features distinct scenarios covering every major phase of the war:
The Bohemian Revolt
The Danish Intervention
The Swedish Intervention
The French Intervention
Full 31-turn Thirty Years War Campaign (1618–1648)
Game time ranges from quick 90-minute sessions for individual scenarios to deep multi-session campaign play.
Turns have a variable duration based on the active armies on the map and their operational strain—armies can act multiple times per turn, but excessive operations degrade their combat effectiveness. Battle and siege resolution is handled through an integrated system utilizing die rolls modified by leadership, troop composition, and readiness on a Battle Results Table.
