Emerald Echoes is a narrative puzzle adventure featuring beautifully illustrated puzzles and tactile artifacts. Through the eyes of a historical researcher, players uncover the story of a legendary alchemist and her companions across four chapters. The game is a standalone sequel to The Emerald Flame.

Each chapter includes a collection of unlabeled items alongside green puzzle folders that are solved in numerical order. Blue folders are also included and, while they contain no puzzles, they reveal additional parts of the story when opened in sequence.

Every green folder contains at least one written document that serves as the starting point for the investigation, helping players determine which items are needed to solve each puzzle. Each folder also includes an Analysis card with progressive hints and the solution for the puzzle.
