The bank job was a success, and now you and the rest of the crew are laying low until the heat cools down. Most of the money is safely hidden, while the rest has been laundered through various businesses around town. Everything is going according to plan until the police receive an anonymous tip. After accusations and a heated argument, you decide to go your separate ways.

The police begin shutting down all routes out of the city. To escape, you’ll need a good plan and a way to recover your fair share of the money—maybe a little more. Call on trusted contacts, stir up small-time gangs to distract the police, and use disguises. Not everyone can be fooled, however, and the cops may demand something in return for looking the other way.

In Escape Plan, players take on the roles of thieves trying to leave the city with more money than their rivals. They move across a modular board, seeking the best places to recover their loot, while influencing police movements each turn. The police are trying to thwart their escape plans, by force if necessary.

Players play cards to help their own escape or slow down their opponents. They take actions that allow them to move and engage gangs, mules, and snitches. This is a tactical game with no direct conflict, featuring asymmetric roles defined by missions players may pursue during the game while avoiding the police.

Each player is on their own, trying to escape with as much money as possible. Only the player who gets away with the most cash wins. The game’s design is influenced by great heist films.
