For generations, rats in the old junkyard have told stories of a legendary moon made entirely of cheese. Now the time has come: they will build a rocket and reach the Cheese Moon! Although all rats work together toward this goal, each rat family also competes to build the most rocket parts and train the most skilled Rattronauts to feast on lunar cheese.

First Rat is a core board game for 1 to 5 players, offering both competitive and solo play. With multiple strategies, special abilities, and a variable setup, every game provides a fresh and exciting experience.

On each turn, players must decide whether to:

• Move one rat up to five spaces, or
• Move multiple rats up to three spaces, provided they end on spaces of the same color

If other rats already occupy the destination space, moving there costs one cheese per rat.

As players travel across the junkyard, they collect resources, purchase or steal useful items, build rocket parts, and train Rattronauts. Every action brings them closer to victory by earning valuable Victory Points.
