Each player has 8 cards with chess pieces (2 knights, 2 bishops, 2 rooks, a king and a queen), which they secretly place on the board. You’ll need to remember the positions of your own pieces while paying attention to your opponent’s moves.
Once all spaces are filled, the last card played is flipped over and the revealing phase begins. Players uncover cards based on their chess movement range, continuing until no further moves are possible. The player who cannot continue loses the game.
Guess Chess can also be played with 3 or 4 players, where there is always only one loser – adding elements of chaos and negotiation. A simple and portable game that tests your memory, foresight, and ability to read your opponent in an original way.
On the publisher’s website nerogames.sk, you can also find cooperative and other variants to try out.
