Phantom Epoch is a fully cooperative tactical combat roleplaying board game featuring a persistent, choice-driven campaign with more than 40 missions, combining science fiction and fantasy themes.

Set in a galaxy where the secrets of interstellar travel have been lost, players are sent on missions across numerous planets to stop an encroaching threat. As the campaign unfolds, players gradually uncover the true nature of their enemy and explore the rich narrative of the Phantom Epoch universe. Each planet offers different biomes, challenges, and strategic considerations.

Players create unique characters by combining human or alien species with a wide range of classes, allowing deep customization and growth to match different play styles. Every mission features a completely unique map layout, objectives, and enemies, ensuring that no two missions play the same and strategies must constantly adapt.

Between missions, players gather resources to repair and upgrade their starship headquarters. Unlocking new facilities allows for improved equipment, attributes, skills, and access to advanced branching classes that further expand character development.

Before each mission, players prepare their equipment and Action cards. During missions, players and adversaries simultaneously select Action cards each round, which determine turn order and actions. The campaign concludes after the final story mission, with players winning or losing together based on mission objectives.
