Recall is a deep strategy game from the designers of Revive, focused on engine building, exploration, and long-term planning. Each player begins with one of fourteen unique tribes and one of eighteen unique gadgets, shaping their strategy and the opportunities available throughout the game. Lead your tribe, explore new regions, and uncover traces of ancient civilizations to gain powerful abilities.
On your turn, you either:
• Use a keycard to activate an action box, or
• Recall to produce resources and retrieve your used keycards.
Playing a keycard triggers both the abilities of the keycard itself and the chosen action box, allowing you to populate lands, move followers, explore new areas, and construct workshops, vaults, or monuments. During the game, you can strengthen your tribe by gaining new keycards, upgrading your action boxes, or collecting ability stones and relics.
A major part of Recall is searching dig sites for traces of ancient civilizations. These discoveries unlock tribal abilities, advanced gadgets, and important scoring opportunities. Three times during the game, players must choose between two paths—each decision granting an immediate bonus and enhancing one of the end-game scoring categories.
With the optional digital companion website, players can archive their tribes at the end of each game, making them discoverable as ancient civilizations in other players' future sessions.
