Lay your cards, snap a single photo, and the Quickening happens: your physical card army comes alive!

The Quickening is a fast-paced 2-player app-powered board game autobattler that plays in roughly 10 action-packed minutes. Combining physical hand management with smooth digital battle simulation, every unit you lay down on the grid operates with its own distinct behavioral AI:

Swordsmen hunt down the nearest foe.

Archers halt and fire the moment they establish a direct line of sight.

Knights sprint headlong for the enemy's back line.

Tanks grind forward as a stubborn defensive wall.

Catapults arc boulders over intervening lines.

Juggernauts barrel through anything in their path, shoving allies aside to reach the enemy base.

Each round, players alternate placing 3 cards onto their half of the battlefield. Once placed, snap a photo using the companion smartphone app to watch the clash unfold based on precise card positions. Units placed in earlier rounds remain locked in place, forcing you to adapt with new placements, well-timed healers, or devastating fireballs.

Trigger the Quickening: You aren't just a passive observer during combat. Once per game, you can trigger the Quickening—a brief power surge that supercharges your entire army while the battle runs itself. Time it right, adapt between rounds, and claim victory!
