The dwarves return to the mountain! The king of the dwarves has finally issued the order to every clan house: it is time to reclaim Karrak-sür-Kazar, the sacred mountain and ancestral home of the dwarves since the first Age of the Beard. For far too long, this stronghold has been tainted by dark lords and their creatures, who have overrun halls once home to the noblest of dwarves. This insult can no longer stand.
Designed by Germán P. Millán (author of Bitoku, Sabika, and Men Nefer) and illustrated by Enrique Fernández, Covenant can be played solo or with up to 4 players aged 14 and up, with a single game lasting around 100 minutes.
Each player takes charge of a dwarven clan bound by an oath to restore their ancient home. Over the course of three rounds, called ages, each clan will help rebuild the lost stronghold, conquered and devastated by dark forces centuries ago.
On their turns, players assign their clan's dwarves to various tasks - exploring ancient halls, driving out intruders, and rebuilding their ancestral home along the way. At the end of the game, the clan that has amassed the most glory earns the monarch's recognition and claims victory.
Dwarf tokens and various tools let players carry out a wide range of actions - mining deep within the mountain, defeating the enemies who have settled there, and constructing various buildings that bring light back to the ancient halls. Once each clan's turn is resolved, players gather in council, where they rest, gain advantages, and earn glory points for different aspects of the game.
Will your clan succeed in restoring the lost glory of the dwarves?
