The British Way: Enemy of My Enemy is an expansion for The British Way that introduces two new standalone games based on earlier historical conflicts while also adding new variants for all four conflicts from the base game.
The British Way: Japanese Occupation explores the Japanese occupation of Malaya during World War II, with the British and the Malayan Communist Party (MCP) fighting on the same side against the occupying forces.
The British Way: Arab Revolt focuses on the suppression of the Arab Revolt between 1936 and 1939, the conflict that preceded the Jewish insurgency featured in the original Palestine game.
Both new games introduce unique mechanics designed to reflect the distinctive nature of their conflicts. They can also be linked directly to the original Malaya and Palestine games, allowing them to become part of the End of Empire Campaign Scenario.
The expansion also explores how Britain's cooperation with local armed groups in earlier colonial conflicts ultimately strengthened those same groups, who later became opponents in the counterinsurgency campaigns portrayed in The British Way.
